Mark Friesen has joined Bunting Magnetics as its incoming global marketing director to fill the position held by Michael Wilks who will be retiring in March 2024. Until Wilks’ retirement, he and Friesen will have dual roles in the marketing position as Friesen gets up to speed on Bunting’s extensive array of products and markets. Bunting designs and manufactures products for the plastics, powder & bulk solids, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, recycling, material handling, mining, electric motor manufacturing, medical equipment, aviation, aerospace and consumer goods industries. Mark is joining Bunting with a background in manufactured products marketing to the powder & bulk solids, plastics, and lawn & turf equipment industries. He will be based in the company’s Newton, KS headquarters and manufacturing facility. Wilks is retiring from his position at the end of March in 2024 after a 23-year career with Bunting that has included positions as the global marketing director, sales director, general manager and product manager of printing products. In other news, Tony Rampino, a 20+ year veteran of equipment sales in the food, pharma, plastics, chemical, recycling, and automation industries has joined Bunting Magnetics as its new director of sales for the Americas. Rampino spent his last 13 years in leadership roles overseeing sales and marketing departments working with all levels of an organization, partnering with finance, manufacturing, and service to ensure strong teamwork and customer relations. Tony previously worked for Bunting Magnetics from 2002 through 2008 as a territory manager for the states of Illinois and Wisconsin. In his new role, He will be working closely with Bunting’s extensive network of territory managers, inside sales and customer service personnel to offer customer-focused solutions where magnetic separation, metal detection, metal sorting and recycling, and custom conveying can solve customer problems. “Knowing what works and what doesn’t work is key to solving most challenging applications in today’s processing and recycling industries” he says. “That’s where the experience of Bunting comes into play. Bunting has been solving customer challenges through the use of magnetic technology and related equipment since 1959.”
